Barrett Lee Stalnaker

Barrett Lee Stalnaker, age 78, of Randleman died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mr. Stalnaker was born in Lorentz, WV on April 2, 1937 to Granville and Virginia Berry Stalnaker. Barrett was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed as a plumber and was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 625. In addition to his parents, Barrett was preceded in death by his wife Mary Shirley Smith Stalnaker. Barrett enjoyed raising his vegetable garden and listening to classical music. He is survived by four daughters: Tammy Jane and husband John Miller of Tuscaloosa, AL, Leisa Jill Stalnaker of Richmond, VA, Cindy Lee and husband Dale Mullins of Randleman, NC, Mary Kathryn Stalnaker and husband Irvin Newberry of Huntsville, AL; one sister: Karen Sue Moore of Buckhannon, WV; grandchildren, Amanda Dawn Miller Porter; and Samantha Lee Miller Bell; great grandchildren, John Nathan, Austin Barrett, Shelby LeeAnn, Rylan Jones, and Abbey Grace all of Tuscaloosa, AL The family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
