Barney Raymond Powers, Jr.

Barney Raymond Powers, Jr., age 66, of 2463 Tot Hill Farm Rd., Asheboro died Monday, October 1, 2012 at his home. Mr. Powers was a native of Virginia and a Vietnam veteran. He was retired from Times Fiber in Liberty and enjoyed motorcycles and welding. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Collins Powers; son, Lance Powers of Asheboro; daughter, Lisa Powers of Greensboro; sisters, Doris Doddie and her husband Jack of Michigan, Mary Burns and her husband Jeff of Asheboro; brother, Jimmy Powers of Randleman; brothers-in-law, Harold Collins of Peru, Benny Collins of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Brenda Collins of Winston- Salem, Patricia Collins of Winston- Salem; canine companions, Buster and Rascal and his bird, Rowdy.
