Barbara Jean Marsh Murray, age 73, formerly of Asheboro is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Please come celebrate her life and now new beginnings with her family on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 11:30 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Pastor Daryl Sutherland officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.Mrs. Murray was a native of Randolph County, attended Asheboro High School and was a member of Central Church of God in Charlotte. She was a loving Mother who cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren were her "pride and joy". She cherished every day she had that she could spend with them. She will be missed by Carolyn, whom she loved dearly and shared a lifetime of friendship. Mrs. Murray enjoyed going to Church and she lived for the holidays. She was preceded in death by her parents, Baxter and Bertha Marsh, husband, Carl V. Murray and daughter, Sue Anderson Murray who were all of Asheboro. She is survived by son Rickey V. Murray and wife, O of Pineville; grandson, Steven Bryant Johnson and his wife Lisa of Charlotte; granddaughter Ashley Leigh Lamotta and her husband Nick of Charlotte; great grandchildren, Riley and Emma Johnson, Jack and Sean Lamotta; loving aunt, Nita Cagle of Asheboro, uncle, Sonny McDowell of Siler City; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who called her "their second Mom".The family will receive friends Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 4:30-6:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Instead of flowers, please make donations to the Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care, 324 McDowell St., Charlotte, NC 28204.
