Barbara Jean McNeill, age 75, of Asheboro died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Barbara was retired from Jockey International in Randleman with 17 years of service. She was a member of Worthville Baptist Church and loved her church family. Barbara was the best southern cook the family ever knew and enjoyed helping others and volunteering at the Food Pantry. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and very unselfish person. She is preceded in death by her son Kenneth Dove and her brother Jimmy Dalton.
She is survived by her husband: Daniel McNeil of the home; daughter: Sue Burris and her husband Jamie of Albemarle; son: Daniel Dove and his wife Pamela of Fairbanks, Alaska; step daughters, Janet Needham and her husband Donnie of Shallotte, and Mitzi Cox and her husband Louis of Coleridge; step son, Todd McNeill of Burlington; grandchildren, Zachery Dove, Samantha Dove, Justin Morton, Anna Morton, Shelley Morton, Isaac Dove, Caleb Dove, and Hannah Dove; great grandchildren: Ryleigh Alexander, Allyonah Alexander, Josephine Alexander and Brayden Dove; brothers: Billy Dalton of Randleman and Richard Dalton and his wife Brenda of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 4:30 - 5:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Junior Dawkins officiating. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro at a later time.
