Barbara Strider Hunsucker

Barbara Strider Hunsucker, age 50, of Randall Hurley Road, Troy died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Barbara was born June 25, 1963 at Asheboro, the daughter of Deldon Leach and Christine Cagle Strider. She attended Mt Lebanon Baptist Church and was an employee of Wright's Foods. In addition to her father, Barbara is preceded in death by a sister, Daphane Ann Strider. In addition to her mother, Christine Cagle Strider of Troy, she is survived by two daughters: Shanna H. Bolson and husband, Wayne of Oak Grove, Kentucky, Laura Hunsucker and special friend, Rico Rush of Asheboro; one son: Christopher Hunsucker and wife, Michele of Asheboro; four sisters: Ruth Strider of Troy, Denise S. Batten and husband David of Asheboro, Rhonda S. Freeman and husband, Griffin of Asheboro, Tina S. Simmons and husband, William of Troy; two brothers: Hoyt Strider and wife, Polly of Star, Hector Strider and special friend, Wanda Stuart of Troy; 7 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at her mother's residence, 6376 Randall Hurley Rd, Troy. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 7811 Pisgah Covered Bridge Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Garland Hall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
