Barbara Ruth Bowman Davis, age 57, of 3580 Walker Store Rd., Franklinville died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Whites Memorial Baptist Church, 2930 Whites Memorial Rd., Franklinville with Rev. Jeff Joyce and Rev. Terry Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mrs. Davis was a native of Randolph County and a member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving wife of 43 years and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Peggy, her parents Edna Cook and Herbert Bowman, sister, Vera Hughes, her father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Inez Davis, and her brothers-in-law Jack Davis and Clarence Henry.She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Davis of the home; grandson, AJ Davis of the home; daughters, Penny Davis of Franklinville, NC, Jackie McGuire of Franklinville, NC, Tammy Alderman of Franklinville, NC, Belinda Hicks and her husband Calvin of Franklinville, NC; sons-in-law, John McGuire of Virginia, Kevin Alderman of Franklinville, NC; grandchildren, LeeAnn Lane and her husband Dusty, Kevin Hicks and his wife Tara, Heather Hicks, Tabitha Alderman, Deajohna McGuire, Samantha McGuire, Joseph McGuire, Jonathon McGuire; great grandchildren, Savhana Lane, Rebecca Lane Aaron Wilson, Natalie Hicks; sister, Vivian Williamson and her husband And Roger of Seagrove, NC; brother, Roger Cox and his wife Marie of Asheboro, NC; sister-in-law, Joanna Henry of Franklinville, NC.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home.Memorials may be made to the Whites Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2930 Whites Memorial Rd., Franklinville, NC 27248.
