Barbara Ann Caudill

Barbara Ann Scruggs Caudill, age 78, of Asheboro passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Caudill was born July 17, 1942, in Altavista, VA. She was a 1960 graduate of Franklinville High School and was a teacher's assistant with Randolph County School System for 33 years. Mrs. Caudill was a volunteer with Randolph Hospital and the Cancer Center. She loved to shop. Mrs. Caudill enjoyed talking and traveling to the beach with her family. Holidays were her favorite times, and she loved decorating for them. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Shelton Scruggs; husband of 53 years, Max Caudill; sister, Lucy Landon and brother, Calvin Scruggs. She is survived by daughters, Lori Johnson and husband Mark of Asheboro, Angi Polito and husband Rob of Asheboro, Andi Johnson and husband Mark of Asheboro; grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Luke Johnson; sister, Patsy Webster. The family will receive friends at the home of Mark and Lori Johnson. Mrs. Caudill will lie in state Thursday, September 17, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2020, at Foster Street Wesleyan Church, 214 Foster St., Asheboro with Bishop Michael Trogdon and Pastor Joe Needham officiating.
