Audrey Kern Wright

Audrey Kern Wright, age 89, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. Ms. Wright was born in High Point, NC on August 3, 1926 to Sankey and Mary Belle Cagle Kern. She was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. Audrey was formerly employed with Klaussner Furniture. In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Wright. She is survived by her sons, Curtis Wright and wife Gail of Asheboro, Gregory Wright and wife Robin of Asheboro; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Katie Deaton; half-sisters, April Shelton, Esther Brewer; and half-brother, Jerry Kern. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church 1986 Ether Rd. in Star, NC. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Garry L. Reeder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Brenda Caudill, 1470 Ether Rd., Star, NC 27356. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Wright family.
