Audrey Willadean Garner

Audrey Willadean "Dean" Shaw Garner, age 83, of 102 North Coble St., Randleman died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Dean grew up in Randleman and was educated at Randleman High School, and furthered her education in interior design. She retired from Boyles Furniture Company. She was a loving mother, excellent seamstress, great cook, and enjoyed oil painting. She hand painted her personal greeting cards in water colors. Dean leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Janice Garner Welborn. Dean is preceded in death by a son James Arnold Garner, Jr., and parents George and Virginia Shaw. She is survived by her daughter: Janice Garner Welborn and her husband, John of Randleman; sister: Bera S. Small and her husband, Gene of Randleman; brother: Sherrill Shaw of Randleman; grandchildren, Zachary Welborn of Charlotte; Erica Welborn of Randleman; James Arnold Garner, III "Trey" of Greer , S.C; Sarah Kathleen Garner of Greer, S.C; nephew, George Brian Davis and his wife Pati of Charlotte; niece, Joyce Davis Doll and her husband Kevin of Hilton Head, S.C; nephew, Roger Shaw and his wife Lori of Jamestown, NC. The funeral will be held Monday, January 24, 2011 at 6:30 pm at Cedar Square Friends Meeting, 7546 Harlow Rd., Archdale with Rev. Mike Butler and Rev. Ben Hurley officiating. A private burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
