Audrey Faye Reavis Walser, age 75, of Welcome, NC passed away on October 31, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald Edward Walser; children, Robbie Walser and wife Kathy of Welcome, Donna Chisholm and husband David of Lexington, Carol Gallimore and husband Sid of Lexington, Cindy Walser and partner Mike (Cal) Hines of Welcome; grandchildren, Kristina Walser, Stanley Walser and fiancee' Grace Hanes, Daphney Shoaff and husband Sam, Nicole Chisholm and fiance' Brad Scarlett, Blake, Jeron and Trey Gallimore; great-grandchildren, Aidan Chisholm and Addison Shoaf, and mother, Gladys Reavis of Lexington. Mrs. Walser was born in Davidson County on December 20, 1939 to Grady and Gladys Reavis. She babysat many children for a number of years and was retired from the Davidson County Schools as a cafeteria worker and bus driver. Audrey enjoyed traveling, going to her home on Badin Lake, riding on the pontoon boat, working word puzzles, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and playing cards. She had many friends from both her home in Welcome and her home at Badin Lake. All loved her and enjoyed the laughter and memorable moments. Audrey was a tough and hard working woman with a loving heart. She will be missed. Her wishes are to be cremated, and a Memorial Service is planned for the spring during the Easter season. The immediate family will make additional family and friends aware of the date and time. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for their loving and tender care of Mrs. Walser. The entire staff offered support, compassion and understanding during this difficult time. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Walser family.
