Atrice King Foust, age 100, of Peachtree St., Asheboro died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Dickerson and Pastor Bud Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Foust was a native of Montgomery County, retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. She loved to work in her garden and was very giving of her harvest to friends and family. Mrs. Foust never had children but was a "second mother" to all of her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Foust, brothers, Alvin, Winfred, Melvin and Colon Conner and sisters, Delphia Moore and Hazel Latz.
She is survived by her sister, Lillian Venable of Asheboro; brother, Homer Conner of Stevensville, MI; nieces, Bernice Moffitt and her husband Harold of Asheboro, Phyllis Bomar of Berkey, OH, Anita McGrew of Florence, SC, Sandra Falk and her husband Wilhelm of Munich, Germany, Ruby Palauro of Salem, VA, Dora Lincoln of Holland, OH, Sue Newlin and her husband David of Asheboro, Ruth Cranford and her husband David of Asheboro, Patsy Sadler and her husband Daniel of Coloma, MI, Sharon Angel and her husband Bill of Franklinville; nephews, Kenneth Conner and his wife Gracie of Randleman, Buddy Latz of Sylvania, OH, Garland Venable and his wife Dorothy of Randleman, Wayne Moore and his wife Sherry of Asheboro, Steven Conner of Stevensville, MI, Gary Daniel Conner of Stevensville, MI.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 28, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
