Arthur Lee Presnell

Arthur Lee Presnell, age 86, of 117 N. Coble St., Randleman died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Presnell was a native of Randolph County and served in the United States Army during WWII in the Philippines. Arthur was the assistant Chief for the Randleman Volunteer Fire Department and a life long member of the Lions Club. At an early age Arthur took over his dad's dry cleaning business known as Economy Dry Cleaners and retired in 1980. He traveled every state but Michigan. Arthur enjoyed traveling, golf and woodworking. He made many wooden bowls. He loved spending time in Florida and Arizona and was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, F.L and Irma Presnell, his wife, Yvonne Presnell and son, Donald Presnell. He is survived by son, Art Presnell, Jr. and his wife, Lynn of Concord; daughter: Nancy Ball of Black Mountain, NC; daughter-in-law, Andie Presnell of Randleman; grandchildren: Jason Ball of Black Mountain, Paige Hayes and her husband, David, of Rockwell, NC; Debbie Kogut and her husband, Shane, of Tampa, FL, Amy Presnell of Concord, NC, Caroline Presnell of Randleman and 5 great grandchildren, Bella, Matthew, Jai, Kai and Alix. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Bernie Doughtry officiating.
