Arney Weldon Poindexter

Arney Weldon Poindexter, age 77, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Randolph Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Pastor Michael Poindexter officiating. Mr. Poindexter was a native of Surry County, NC and attended God's Outreach Ministries. He was formerly employed with Goodyear Tire & Rubber and was retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation. Arney was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marie Williams Poindexter; son, Tim Poindexter and his wife Lawana of Asheboro, NC; daughters, Gail Poindexter Flinchum and her husband Tony of Asheboro, NC, Linda Poindexter Owens of Cedar Falls, NC, Robin Poindexter Morris of Cedar Falls, NC; grandchildren, Kristyn Flinchum, Brandi Owens, Autumn Poindexter, Samantha Poindexter, Dalton Morris; sisters, Hallie Brown of Asheboro, NC, Inez Davis of Asheboro, NC; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the home of Tim and Lawana Poindexter, 1133 Valley Dale Lane, Asheboro. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Randolph Hospital, Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, and Randolph Health & Rehabilitation for their loving care and concern.
