ASHEBORO--Armeta Frazier Greeson, age 84, of Asheboro died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur.
Mrs. Greeson was a native of Randolph County, born to James M. and Pearl Butler Frazier on May 31, 1929. She was a piano teacher for more than five decades and fostered a love of music in many students over that time. Armeta was a faithful member of Asheboro United Church of Christ, where she served as organist for over 55 years before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Nocturne Music Club and directed the Rhapsody Junior Music Club for its duration. In addition to her parents, Armeta was preceded in death by her husband Sam Greeson and two brothers Douglas Frazier and Gilbert Frazier.
Armeta enjoyed tending and arranging flowers, vegetable gardening, quilting, walking in the woods, and being with family.
She is survived by her son, Malcome Greeson and his wife Patty of Chapel Hill; sisters, Eldred Brown and her husband J.B. of Grays Chapel and Carolyn Fricke and her husband Charles of Anchorage, AK.

She has gone to be with her Lord, but will be sorely missed here. A memorial service will be be held 3:00 pm Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Asheboro United Church of Christ, 801 Sunset Ave., Asheboro.
