Arlien Mildred Rumsey

Arlien Mildred Rumsey, age 90, of Archdale died Monday, July 31, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House after a brief illness.

Mrs. Rumsey was born March 7, 1927 the daughter of Ted and May Clark Rumsey. She grew up in High Point and graduated from High Point Central School and worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Arlien was a strong-willed woman, determined to live life on her terms. She lived independently until her death. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her friends. In addition to her parents, Arlien is preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Mish, and her nephew, Johnny Mish.

She is survived by her niece: June Cranford (Leonard) of Asheboro; great nephew, Eric Cranford (Sherita); great niece, Kelley Schneider (David) and their two children, Ethan and Gavin; and cousin, Sybil Goodson (Pat).

An informal memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 am at New Hope Memorial Gardens, 3448 New Hope Church Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
