Antonette V. "Toni" Newsome

Antonette V. "Toni" Newsome, age 85, of Asheboro died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Ms. Newsome was born in the Philippines on March 1, 1930 to Pablo Villanueva and Encarnacion Reyes and had lived in California and Virginia for several years before moving to Asheboro to be with her daughter Terri. She was a beautician for 46 years and had worked at various salons. She enjoyed dancing, reading, playing bingo and majong. Toni was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Julita Villanueva and brother, Benjamin Reyes Villanueva. She is survived by her daughters, Forsy Ramos, Erlinda Ramos Smith and husband Galen, and Terri Newsome and partner Annette Luther; sons, Xavier Villanneva Ramos, and Lumberto Ramos; 13 grandchildren, Forsythia R. Natividad, Percival R. Natividad, Teresita R. Natividad, Reynaldo Nativida, Andrian R. Dionisio, Jhon Kenneth Ramos, Lamyr R. De Guzman, Louie Ramos, Jhon Vernon Ramos, Erick Marco Ramos, Cassandra Smith, Melanie Smith, Regina Smith; 11 great grandchildren, Dan Anthony Natividad, Danica Krizel Natividad, Daniel James Natividad, Danford Travis Natividad, Dan Jhay Lexsuz Odivilas, Khen Lexzy Natividad, Daryl Isabel Marcelo, Andrey Moi Natividad, Robert Lance De Guzman, Ralph Loise De Guzman, Ria Lyn De Guzman; sister, Julita Villanueva Zagala; and former husband, Charles Newsome. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 4:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Ken Jaeck officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends and family at 421 Windflower Lane, Asheboro. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home for the love and care given to Toni.
