Annie Velna Nance

Annie Velna Nance, age 84, formerly of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Northeast Medical Center of Concord. She was a resident of Brian Center of Concord. Miss Nance was the daughter of the late Raymond E. Nance and Mary Verdie White Nance of Asheboro. She attended Asheboro High School and Peace College and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Asheboro. Miss Nance was preceded in death by her stepmother, Katy Belle Cagle Nance and a brother, Max A. Nance of Asheboro. She is survived by her brother, James R. Nance and wife Helen of Albemarle, NC; sister-in-law, Margaret C. Nance of Asheboro, NC; nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11:00 am at Farmer Cemetery with Rev. Michael Holder officiating. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203. Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro is serving the family.
