Annie Poole Liles, age 98, of Troy, entered into eternal peace on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Kernersville, NC.
Annie was born on February 2, 1919, a daughter of the late Dora Kelly Poole and David Franklin Poole. She was a charter member of Troy Pentecostal Holiness Church. Until declining in health, she enjoyed quilting, canning and taking long distance trips. Annie was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie Colon Liles; son, Clarence Richard Liles; daughter, Janet Gail Liles; siblings, Lena Poole Hudson and Robert Jackson Poole; and a great-great granddaughter, Jordyn Lynn Brooks.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her sons, Carlton Ray Liles (Janie) of Mt. Gilead and Charlie “Frankie” Liles of Troy; daughter, Linda Liles Barnett (Ken) of Kernersville; brother, Lonnie Lee Poole; 10 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great grandchildren; and treasured friend, Rebecca Haire of Robbins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 9th at Pugh Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Ron Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Southside Cemetery. The family will meet with friends prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:45 pm at the Funeral Home.
