Annie Louise Gordon

Annie Louise Hancock Gordon, age 88, of Asheboro died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Gordon was born in the Steed Community on June 7, 1924 to Frank and Etta Page Hancock. She was a homemaker and attended Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Gordon, daughters, Linda G. Faulkner and her husband David of Asheboro, Susan G. Smith and her husband Fred of Asheboro; son, Darrell V. Gordon and his wife Sylvia of Asheboro; grandchildren, Keith Varner and his wife Michelle of Shelby, Kim Grigg and her husband Robbie of Asheboro, Lisa Floyd and her husband Danny of Asheboro, Brad Smith of Atlanta, GA, DeLisa Dalton and her husband John of Wilmington, Jenny Smith of Greensboro; great grandchildren, Ashley Floyd, Dakota Floyd, Hayes Dalton, Samantha Grigg; and sisters, Effie H. Cagle of Star and Mae Cagle of Seagrove.
