Anna Saunders

Prince Anna Saunders, age 94, of 1347 Allen Vestal Rd., Randleman passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Saunders was born October 10, 1916 in Forsyth County, NC the daughter of John and Florence Cardwell of Virginia. She has lived in Randolph County for the past 74 years and was a member of North Asheboro Church of God. Anna was retired from Acme-McCrary. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Saunders; daughters, Penny and Mary Saunders; son, Willie Saunders. She is survived by her children: Marie Saunders, Margaret Parrish and her husband, Lawson, Viola Parrish and her husband, Wayne all of Randleman, Joyce Freeman, George Saunders and his wife, Rhonda all of Asheboro, Rosa Stamey, David Saunders both of Franklinville; sister, Ruth Batten of High Point; 27 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at the home of Marie Saunders, 1347 Allen Vestal Rd., Randleman. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman with Rev. J. Arnold Luther officiating.
