Anna Belle Pike Cheek

Mrs. Anna Belle Pike Cheek, age 93, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Randolph Hospital.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael W. Adams, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.Mrs. Cheek was the daughter of Albert Eddie and Ida Siler Pike of Staley in Chatham County. She graduated from Staley High School and was Valedictorian of her class. She was a member of Brower's Chapel United Methodist Church. Anna Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Cheek, her brother, George F. Pike, and her sisters, Mary Richardson, Eula Beane, Grace Cooper, Elizabeth Hudson, Eugenia Miller, Ruth Staley, and Evangeline Byrd. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.Memorials may be made to Brower's Chapel United Methodist Church, 1663 Plantation Circle, Asheboro, NC 27205.
