Ann Pugh Strickland, age 75, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Strickland was born in Asheboro on June 15, 1945 to Frank and Eulalia Cobb Pugh. She was retired from Randolph Hospital as an RN and was a member of Liberty Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years, McKinnon Strickland.
She is survived by her stepsons, Terry Strickland (Mary) of Asheboro and Steve Strickland (Barbara) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Steven Strickland, Krystyna Strickland, Tiffany Payne, Beverly Strickland, and Kimberly Rice; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Pugh (Joyce) of Newton; sisters, Betty P. Lohr of Hickory and Mary Belle Overton of Apex; her extended family that she cared for deeply, James and Noelle Dunn, Judy Greene, Tim and Debbie Peele, and Dot Rives; and her Liberty Road Baptist Church family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Ashley, Jr. officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
