Due to inclement weather, services have been rescheduled and are as follows: Name for Heading: Ann J. Hunt ASHEBORO - Ann J. Hunt died peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House surrounded by her family. Survivors include her son Andy and wife Shirley of Asheboro. Sisters are Libby Green (Larry), Nancy Walker (Linwood), Sue Emmons (Charlie) all of Asheboro. Sister-in-law, Phyllis Johnson of Florida. Step-granddaughter, Tammy Dawkins, 2 step-great granddaughters, Taylor and Lindsey. She also had many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Rick and brother, Jimmy Johnson. Mrs. Hunt was born on April 21, 1936 to Roy Johnson and Etta Saunders Johnson. She was a member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Central Falls Baptist Church. Ann was a very caring and devoted person who made many, many friends. All that met her never forgot her as she was always doing for others. Her entire life was devoted to her sons, Rick and Andy. Her joy was to always be a shining light to others and she was just that always to her sisters. She especially enjoyed her flowers and birds which made her yard a beautiful place to enjoy when visiting her. Her other love was her dog, Marley Due to inclement weather, services have been rescheduled. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February, 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Gerald Hussey officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 1:00-2:30 PM at the funeral home and other times at Ann's residence. The family would like to thank Dr. John Cameron and staff at White Oak Family Physicians for all their care. A special thanks to Cathy Carter and staff at Carter's Pharmacy. Also, we would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to all the nurses and staff at Randolph Hospice House for the care and compassion shown to all of us.
