Ann Foote

Lella Ann (Ann) Garrett Oksa Foote passed away September 26, 2013. She was born December 11, 1929, in Bethany West Virginia, the daughter of Ralph W. and Lella Mullendore Garrett. Ann graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth, TX, attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and University of Tennessee. She completed a Certified Nursing Assistant program from LaSalle County College, LaSalle, IL, and worked as a Home Health Nursing Assistant in Illinois. Ann drove a school bus for two years in Tonica, IL. She was a medical records transcriptionist at Palo Pinto County Hospital in Mineral Wells, TX. Ann was seamstress, making her own clothes and those of her children. Ann loved to sketch, draw, and paint and attended classes at Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC. She was an avid gardener and canned the food she grew. No formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the family.
