Annie J. Hodgin Cust, age 94, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Parlor, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Holder and Rev. George W. Roberson officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Spring Friends Meeting Cemetery in Ramseur.
Mrs. Cust was born in Randleman, NC on November 19, 1916 to Edgar and Zula Fogleman Jarrett. She was retired from Pinehurst Textiles and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Asheboro. She was a Past Matron of Randolph Chapter #210 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Keith Grimes Hodgin, Sr., her brother, James Jarrett, her sister, Helen Jarrett Grady, and an infant sister.
She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Cust, Jr. of Punta Gorda, FL.; sons, Keith Grimes Hodgin, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Ramseur, Hal Worth Hodgin and his wife Teresa of Asheboro; daughters, Ann Hodgin Brady of Asheboro, Jane Hodgin Teague and her husband C. E. of Seagrove; foster daughter, Marie J. Eudy of Asheboro; step son, Robert M. Cust III of Illinois, step daughter, Ruth Tomas and her husband Jerry of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren, Keith Gregory Hodgin and his wife Lois of Asheboro, Derek Arthur Hodgin and his wife Jane of Westminster, SC, Jeffrey W. Hodgin and his wife Shanna of Asheboro, Leslie Jill Hodgin Ragan of Mebane, Jeremy Keith Brady and his wife Amelia of Greensboro, Jonathan Randolph Brady and his wife Marissa of Asheboro, Amanda Kaye Teague Johnson and her husband Derek of Randleman; great grandchildren, Jennifer Hodgin and Julie Hodgin both of Asheboro, Hali Hodgin, Marley Hodgin, Sydney Hodgin, and Blaise Hodgin all of Westminster, SC, Ryan Hodgin and his wife Clara of Cary, Zachary Hodgin of Asheboro, Ian Ragan and Emily Ragan both of Mebane, and Adrienne Brady of Asheboro; sisters, Maxine Jarrett Brown and her husband Mac of Julian, Dorothy Jarrett Scott of Bensalem, PA, and brother, Richard Jarrett and his wife Marjorie of Albemarle.
