Ann Pyrtle Barker

Ann Pyrtle Barker, age 78, of Asheboro died Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Ms. Barker was a native of Montgomery County. She was formerly employed with Bossong Hosiery, Klaussner Furniture and law enforcement. Ann volunteered with The Salt Box Senior Center. Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Marcel Parks and grandson, James Stewart Trotter. She is survived by her son, Anthony W. Parks and wife Julie of Asheboro; daughter, Donita S. Trotter of Asheboro, daughter-in-law, Regina Hatch of Burlington; sister, Dot Lyndon of Asheboro and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 9, 2016 form 12:30 – 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel.
