Angelina Perretta, age 89, of Asheboro, NC and formerly of Elmont, NY died Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at her home.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ms. Perretta was a long-time resident of Elmont, NY and parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elmont before moving to Asheboro, NC. She was a career seamstress and past President of American Legion Post 1033's Women's Auxiliary. A loving wife and cherished mother, she dedicated her life to serving others.
She is survived by two sons, Anthony Perretta and wife, Dawn, of West Chester, PA, and Leonard Perretta, Jr. and wife, Erika, of Randleman, NC; two grandchildren, Michael and Lauren; and three great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Cory and Madison. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Leonard Perretta, Sr., her parents, Pasquale and Vita Tumbiola Sicurella, and three siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 W. Wainman Ave., Asheboro, NC.
A Memorial Service and visitation celebrating her life will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Cross Road Retirement Community, 1302 Cox Road, Asheboro, NC. The family will receive relatives and friends other times at the home of Leonard, Jr., 3871 Camp Nawaka Road, Randleman, NC.
A Memorial Service and internment will be held at a future time in New York.
