Angela Anita Nordan

Angela Anita Thompson Nordan, age 66, of Troy died Friday, April 17, 2015 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Mrs. Nordan was born in Montgomery County on October 13, 1948 to Guy and Loveday Hicks Thompson. She was retired from the textile industry after 30 years of service and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church. Angela was the angel of the family, was courageous, and a fighter. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Henry Nordan of the home; daughters, Lisa Sanders of Denton, Renee Martin and husband Eddie of Norwood; sons, Edward Dunn and wife Sarah of Mt. Gilead, Shaun Nordan and wife Frances of Troy, Lee Nordan and wife Misty of Wadesboro; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Rushing and husband Steve of Troy and Christine Blue of Troy. The family will receive friends Monday, April 20, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 412 Bell Street, Troy with Rev. Mark Harper officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery.
