Reverend Anderson Dean Carpenter of Asheboro, formerly of Logan, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House.
Preceding him in death is his wife of 42 years, Glenda Carpenter, and also his parents Roscoe and Golda Carpenter.
Reverend Carpenter had six children, Randy and wife Becky, Joey and Michael all of Asheville, North Carolina; daughters, Lynn Carpenter of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Janet Stoffers and husband Harry of Florida, and Duane Carpenter of Hawaii; and one granddaughter, Leanne Leonard of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Reverend Carpenter had four sisters, Brenda Carpenter, Shelby Whitman and husband David, Linda McCoy and husband Paul, Barbara Russell and husband Darrel all of Logan, West Virginia; and one brother, Sidney Marshall Carpenter of Georgia.
He wanted to express a special thank you to his dear close friend, Owen Murkey, and to his CNA Linda Skinner with Angel Care of Franklinville for their care and love.
Reverend Carpenter worked as a DJ at a local radio station for 13 years. He dearly loved listening and playing Gospel music and scheduled bookings for other musical groups. He dearly loved the Lord.
His desire was to live long enough to see his children saved and to outlive his beloved K-9, Frisky. He was a devoted animal lover.
His only regret would be to leave his baby, Frisky. He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Skeeter.
