Amanda Brooke Smith

Miss Amanda Brooke Smith, age 23, of 321 Onvil Road, Mt. Gilead, NC died Monday, December 5, 2011 at Duke Medical Center, Durham. Amanda was born October 15, 1988 at Durham, NC, the daughter of Mark Wesley and Belinda Collazo Smith. She was a graduate of West Montgomery High School, class of 2006 and attended UNC Wilmington. She was a customer service representative at Wal-Mart. She is preceded in death by her father, Mark Wesley Smith. She is survived by her mother, Belinda Collazo Smith of the home; one brother, Kyle Wesley Smith of the home; maternal grandmother, Doris Adler of Greensboro. The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 8th from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. A funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 9th at 2 pm at Parsons Grove United Methodist Church, 3431 Pekin Road, Candor, with Bishop Fred Marks and Brother Rick Shaw officiating.
