Amanda Key Ragsdale, age 50, of Randleman died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Ragsdale was a native of Randolph County and was the youngest of four children. She was known to her father as "Toot". Amanda was trained as a CNA, EMT, home health caretaker, medical assistant, a phlebotomist and floral designer. Her patients were always complimenting her on her compassion, excellent care giving and kindness. She also had a great love for animals. Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Wayne Key, sister Pamela Key Perdue and fur baby Roscoe.
She is survived by her husband, Danial Ragsdale; her fur babies, Lanie Lou, Ellie Mae, Rosie Ray and Lord Ernest (Ernie); mother, Violette Hinesley Key of Asheboro; sisters, Cindy Key Hockett of Randleman, Lynn Hayes and husband Harris of Asheboro. Along with many nieces and nephews, also great nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 19, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
