Alma Cassady Brewer

Alma Cassady Brewer, 96, of Asheboro passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House.

Mrs. Brewer was born in Moore County on March 1, 1923 to Ray and Maude Hancock Cassady. She attended Friendship Baptist Church for many years until her health declined. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Cassady, Juanita Williamson, and Merle Allen, and brothers, Cebern, Sulon, Eldon, and Harlan Cassady.

She is survived by her son, James Brewer and wife Gale of Asheboro; grandson, Tal Brewer and wife Shuni of Williamsburg, VA; and great-grandsons, Paxton and Mathias Brewer of Williamsburg, VA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. The funeral will follow on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy R. Kidd Sr. officiating. Burial will be in New Center Christian Church Cemetery in Seagrove.
