Alice Janet Laffargue Stowe

Alice Laffargue Stowe, age 86, of 1080 Running Cedar Rd., Asheboro died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 10:00 am at Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Thomasville with Rev. Jamie Fonville officiating. Mrs. Stowe was a native of Cannan, CT, a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Thomasville and a teacher's assistant with Guy B. Teachey School. She was a volunteer at Randolph Hospital with 5000 hours of service. She is survived by her husband, Rev. George W. Stowe; daughters, Carol Ann Brown of Apalachicola, FL, Holley Lynn Odahl of Melbourne, FL, Janet Mariee Young of Asheboro, NC; sister, Carol L. Reel of Wichita, KS; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Memorials may be made to Randolph Hospital Volunteer Services, P.O. Box 1048, Asheboro, NC 27204-1048.
