Alice Ruth Russell

Alice Ruth Russell, age 88, of Randleman died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Universal Health Care Of Ramseur. Mrs. Russell was born April 15, 1923 the daughter of James and Edna Sinclair Kirkman. Alice was a native of Randolph County and a member of First United Methodist Church where she was in the choir and played the piano. Alice was retired from Randleman Elementary School with 25 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and active with her children and grandchildren who was the apple in her eye. In addition to her parents Alice is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Kirkman. She is survived by her husband: A.R "Doc" Russell, Jr.; daughters: Susan Kirkman of Asheboro, and Cindy Gill of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jonathan, Kelli and Christopher. The family will receive friends Monday, February 13, 2012 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Randleman with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm with Dr. Dana Bunn and Rev. Steven Cox officiating. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
