Alice Harrelson

Alice Whittington Harrelson, age 73, of Randleman died Friday, September 12, 2014 at Wesley Long Community Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Harrelson was born in Laurinburg, NC, and a native of Randleman. Alice retired from Gailey & Lord with 35 years service and was a member of Whithall Evangelical Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Harrelson and sister, Peggy Whittington. She is survived by one son: Mark Harrelson of Randleman; grandchildren, Tony Harrelson and his wife Katie of Randleman, and Sherry Jones of Lexington; great grandchildren: Aeva Harrelson, Tyler Jones, Kayla and Anna Gonzales and Emma Hardy; sisters: Janette Chapel and her husband Gene of Ellerbe, Mary Shepard and her husband Odell of Ellerbe, Sue Southard and her husband Jerry of Patrick, SC, and Barbara Funderburk and her husband Robert of Patrick, SC; brothers: Ronnie Whittington and his wife Jean of Rockingham, David Whittington and his wife Annette of Asheboro, and Reid Whittington, Jr. and his wife Linda of Cheraw, SC; special niece Carol Cranford of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman from 1:00 – 2:45 pm and other times at the home, 747 Worthville St., Randleman.. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Jonathan Perdue and special speaker Odell Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman.
