Alice Glyn Cornelison

Alice Lax Cornelison, age 73, of 1541 Thornsdale Dr., Asheboro died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Parson's Grove United Methodist Church, 3431 Pekin Rd., Candor with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Cornelison was born in Troy, NC and was a lifetime resident of Asheboro, NC. She was a graduate of Pfeiffer College and Asheboro Business School. She was an accountant for 40 years and was the owner of Alice Cornelison's Bookkeeping and Tax Service for 25 years. Alice loved taking trips to the mountains with her sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Lax and Blenn Sedberry Lax and her son, Michael Hugh Cornelison. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Barnes and Lauri Cornelison both of Asheboro, NC; sons, Randy Cornelison and his wife Laura and Lance Cornelison all of Asheboro, NC; 6 grandchildren; brother, Mitchell Lax of Norfolk, VA; and sisters, Brenda Luther of Asheboro, NC and Joan Delacruz of Candor, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
