Alfred Chandler Bunnie Bowman, 68, 212 McLaurin Drive, Asheboro, died at his home.
He was a life-long resident of Randolph County, a graduate of Asheboro High School, a former policeman with the Asheboro Police Department, a former deputy with the Randolph County Sheriffs Department, and retired from Davis H. Elliott Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. D. and Stella Chandler Bowman, a brother, James R. Bowman, and sisters, Lora Adele Bowman and Elizabeth Sue Bowman.
Surviving are daughter, Mattie Teal Bowman of Randleman; son, Taft Chandler Bowman of Asheboro; two grandchildren; sisters, Becky Bowman and Patsy B. Dabbs, both of Siler City, Marie B. Lowe of Conyers, GA; brothers, W. D. Bowman and Lacy L. Bowman, both of Randleman, Robert G. Bowman of Decatur, GA.
A memorial service will be conducted Monday. October 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel in Asheboro. Rev. Don Leonard will officiate.
