Alene Hunt Roberts

Alene Small Hunt Roberts, age 92, of Sophia died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Mrs. Roberts was born January 12, 1925 daughter of Clarence and Ersie Wood Small.

Alene graduated from Randleman High School and retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill. She was a member of Level Cross Baptist Church, Level Cross Civitans and Community Center, VFW, and Meals on Wheels. Alene was a very talented seamstress who created her own church wardrobe and made wedding gowns for others. She was outgoing, friendly and cheerful person whom will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Alene is preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Lendon "Junior" Hunt and Wellington "Robby" Roberts, and 4 siblings, Clay, Edith, Jim and Guy Small.

She is survived by her children: Donald Hunt (Elaine) of Randleman, Linda Davis (Wes) of Sophia, Roger Hunt (Judy) of Asheboro and Mark Hunt (Cathy) of Sophia; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sister: Treva Swicord (Joe).

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 12:30- 1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, NC 27317. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Rodney Otwell and Rev. Jerry Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.

The family wants to give a special "Thanks" to Hospice of Randolph for their loving care shown to Alene and especially Doris Davis and Donna Brady.
