Alberta Lee Cassel

Alberta Lee Warren Cassel, age 67, of 4070 Dunbar Bridge Rd., Asheboro died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. She was born April 11, 1942 the daughter of Guy Vernon and Beatrice Lee Warren. Alberta was a native of Kinston, NC and was a U.S. Navy veteran. She was retired from Randolph Hospital after 39 years where she had many special friends. She is survived by her husband: Douglas D. "Doug" Cassel; daughter and her husband, Brenda and John Laton of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Joshua Douglas Laton; granddaughter, Anna Lee Laton; one sister: Peggy Ouwens of Kinston, NC and one brother: Dennis Warren of Kinston, NC; sister-in-law, Anita Thomas of Modesto; CA; cousins, Walter and Vicki Jackson of Sophia, NC; and several nieces and nephews from Kinston, NC.The family will receive friends Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home. The funeral will be Monday, June 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Pastor Thomas K. Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
