Albert Mayfield McDowell

Albert Mayfield McDowell, age 83, of Randleman died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. McDowell was a native of Guilford County and a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Randleman and served in the US Navy. Albert had worked at Traders Chevrolet and Windshield Glass of Greensboro. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McDowell; daughter, Brenda Chatel; son, Bert McDowell. He is survived by his daughter: Amy Newbold and her husband Joseph "Joe" of Randleman; sons: Gary McDowell of Greensboro, Terry McDowell of Randleman; sisters: Martha Ann Harris and Dot Gordon both of Greensboro; brother: Clarence McDowell of Greensboro. A graveside service will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Rex Pollard officiating.
