Ada Minnie McPherson

Ada Minnie Nichols McPherson, age 88, of 1280 Jerico Rd., Asheboro died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel in Randleman with Rev. Aaron Robbins and Rev. Jon Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Mrs. McPherson was born in Wilkes County, NC on August 11, 1923 to Linnie and Minnie Nichols. She was retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill after 58 years of service and was a member of Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Worth McPherson and 10 brothers and sisters. Ada was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was sweet, charming and humorous and loved being with her family. She is survived by her son, Turner Grant and his wife Becky of Randleman, NC; daughter, Annita "Ann" Routh and her husband Tommy of Robbins, NC; son, Lynn "Peanut" McPherson and his wife Nettie of Sophia, NC; daughter, Brenda Dougan and her husband Donald of Asheboro, NC; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
