A. Richard "Brother" Daniel, age 72, of 5732 Pleasant Hill Rd Lot #6, Seagrove died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Burton King, Rev. Jack Kivett, and Rev. Thomas Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Daniel was a born on May 25, 1939 in Bolt, WV to Joel and Mary Bledsoe Daniel. He was employed with Uwharrie Frames and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Robbins. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, and his grandson Joshua Jones. Richard loved woodworking in his outbuilding and most of all he loved his family and his eyes always brightened when he was with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Eva Perry Daniel; daughters, Tammy D. Jones and her husband Danny of Asheboro, NC, Mary D. Brooks and her husband Steve of Asheboro, NC; sons, James Daniel of Asheboro, NC, Richard J. Daniel of Sophia, NC, John Daniel of Seagrove, NC, Joe Daniel of Seagrove, NC; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother John Henry Daniel of Georgia; and sisters, Drema Green of Thomasville, NC and Lillie Gooden of Thomasville, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at his home.
