William Lee Delk, age 59, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Delk was born in Asheboro, NC on August 20, 1958 to Dempsey Lee and Anna Poole Delk, who preceded him in death. He was the co-owner of Delk's Army Navy Surplus. William had a passion for working at "the store" and fishing and hunting. He was a great husband, father, and brother. Willliam loved his family unconditionally, especially his granddaughter, Gracelyn.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Leviner Delk; sons, Chip Delk of Raleigh and Jason Delk and girlfriend Rebecca Haga of Asheboro; granddaughter, Gracelyn Delk; brother, Frank Delk and wife Tammy of Asheboro; his loving dog, Sadie; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 7594 Jackson Creek Road, Denton with Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tara Goins with Hospice of Randolph for her care and concern during William's illness.
