Shirley Ann Erby

Shirley Ann Erby, age 69, of Randleman entered heaven's gate Friday, May 3, 2019 with her son, Larry and her sister, Mary by her side.

Shirley was born March 19, 1950 the daughter of Beulah Wallace Erby and Lucius and Maxie Galloway Wallace. She was a native of Charlotte County, VA. She was employed by Custom Extrusions, Inc. whom she considered to be her second family. Shirley loved flowers and found great pleasure planting and seeing them bloom. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed sharing it with others, including her co-workers at Custom Extrusions, Inc. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her former husband, Larry Wayne Whitt and brother in law, Robert J. "Jamie" Gutierrez.

She is survived by her son: Larry Whitt, Jr. of Burnsville, NC; sister: Mary Gutierrez (Randy Smith) of Greensboro; brother: Thomas Page Erby (Faye) of Asheboro;grandchildren, Amber Caitlin Whitt, Casey Jai Whitt, and Zebulon Thomas Whitt; 5 nephews; 2 great nieces; 7 great great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00am at Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church, 3335 Wesleyan Rd., Randleman with Rev. Ronnie May and Pastor Harold Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral service.Burial will be held at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery,3901 Forest Lawn Dr., Greensboro, NC 27455.
