Robert Henry Moyer, 74, of Asheboro passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at his home.
Born in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania on October 24, 1942 to Edward Stone And Marie Rempp Moyer.
Survived by his loving wife Ida Heckard Moyer; son William "Billy" Edward Moyer of Fuquay-Varina, NC and his wife Amy Ketron Moyer; his grandson Edward Witt Moyer; a brother John Edward Moyer of Washington DC and his wife Jane Passman and many other loving relatives.
After graduating Appalachian State Teachers College in 1960, he enjoyed his musical talents through a career as a band director, the United States Navy Band stationed in Washington DC and then through The Greensboro Philharmonia.
After earning a civil engineering degree, he worked for Moore-Gardner and Black & Veatch until his retirement.
Most recently he educated adults on many aspects of computers and technology at Randolph Community College of Archdale.
He will be truly missed for his humor, generosity and graciousness towards others, aptitude for music and love for life.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Kari Howard and Rev. Drew McIntyre officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
