Ramona Skeen Shaw

Ramona Elliott Skeen Shaw, age 88, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Shaw was born in High Point, NC on September 9, 1930 to Whitson and Agnes Skeen.  Ramona was the owner and operator of Holly Bluff Family Campground for 50 years.  She was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, William K. "Bill" Shaw, and brothers, Herbert, Ronald, and Buren Skeen.   

She is survived by her sons, Kelly Shaw and wife Joyce of Asheboro and Kim Shaw of Asheboro; daughter, Konda Shaw of Asheboro; grandchildren, Lyndon Shaw and wife JoBeth, Tyler Morgan and wife Hannah, and Brandi McNeill and husband Aaron; great grandchild, Whitley Morgan; and sister, Corina Talbert of Archdale.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at her home.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at West Bend United Methodist Church, 1080 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Pastor Tony Sparks and Pastor Mike Burkett officiating.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
