Patsy Moran Spencer

Patsy Moran Spencer, age 75, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation.

Ms. Spencer was born in Randolph County on May 10, 1943 to Edmond and Beatrice Bowman Moran. Patsy lived her whole life in Randolph County and was formerly employed with Stedman Manufacturing. She was a longtime member of Central Falls Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Spencer, Sr., grandson, Jake Graves, sister, Martha Lamb, and brothers, Charles, Carl, Clarence, Edward, and Roger Moran. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and was always there if you needed a helping hand.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Graves (Jimmy) of Asheboro; sons, Tommy Spencer, Jr. of Gastonia, Terry Spencer of Asheboro, and Glenn Spencer of Asheboro; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Peggy Gray, Pauline Isom, and Genevieve Brown all of Asheboro; and brothers, Wayne Moran, Elvis Moran, and Johnny Moran all of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery.
