Johnnie Marvin Shelton

Johnnie Marvin Shelton, Sr., age 55, of Asheboro died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Shelton was born August 28, 1957 in Randolph County to Paul and Pauline Thomas Shelton. He was employed with Lamb Painting Contractors for 25 years. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and making other people laugh. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Shelton of Asheboro; son, Johnny Shelton, II and his wife Christy Shelton of Ft. Sill, OK; mother, Pauline Steele of Asheboro; grandchildren, Branson Elberson, Aniyah Siler, Krystofer John Shelton; sisters, Barbara Bruster of Winston- Salem, Janet Shelton of Asheboro, Donna McGill of Pilot Mountain; brother, James Shelton of Asheboro; special nephew, Greg Bottoms. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Lois Johnson officiating.
