Jackie Persons

Jackie Lavonne Blankenship Persons, age 84, formerly of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Camden Place Health and Rehabilitation in Greensboro. Ms. Persons was born in Texarkana, Texas on September 6, 1931 to Ruhl and Daisy Rock Blankenship. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Asheboro and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her son Stanley C. Persons. Jackie loved her family, especially her grandsons, who affectionately referred to her as "GAGA." She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Persons of Greensboro, Claudia Letterman and husband Jake of Greensboro; grandsons, John Lee Letterman, Nickolas Adison Letterman; sisters, Kamita Soper of California, Carolyn Youngblood of Texas; brothers, David Blankenship and Ruhl Blankenship both of Texas. A private family service will be held. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Persons family.
