George Herbert Snow, Jr., age 85, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House.
Mr. Snow was born in Randolph County on May 24, 1933 to George Herbert and Leota Snow. He was retired from Flowers Bakery after 36 years of service. Herbert was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church and attended Clearview Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Herbert was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred, Bill, and Clyde Snow and his sisters, Pansy Smith and Elizabeth Humble. Herbert loved his family, had a strong faith in God, and enjoyed Bill Gaither music. He was an avid fan of UNC basketball, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Leonard Snow; daughter, Melanie Boyles and husband Julian "Jay" Boyles of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Heath Boyles and Chasity Julch and husband Jeremy; and great grandchildren, Lilyian and Mortdecai Julch.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 12:30-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Phillips officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
